Destiny 2 XP Farm guide: Season of the Lost[Bounty chart]
Each new season comes with a new XP grind, be it to earn Season Pass rewards or upgrade a seasonal artifact.
For the longest time, XP farming in Destiny 2 has been too reliant on job grinding. But after months of complaining (who doesn’t hate the rewards?), Bungie stepped down and replaced some with seasonal challenges.
This guide describes how XP works and why it matters, lists all of the XP sources in the game, including rewards and challenges, and lists the most efficient methods for obtaining XP.
List updated on Bungie’s 30th anniversary.
Best XP Farm in Destiny 2: Bounties & Challenges
If you want to earn XP effectively, you really have no choice but to collect the best bounties, combine them with the new Seasonal Challenges, and work on them simultaneously:
source | Location | Frequency | Basic XP | Cost (glimpse) | Requires | Requirements? |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Seasonal challenges | Director | Seasonal | 25,000 | 0 | Free game | |
2x seasonal challenges |
Note that you can filter this list by Destination, Cost, Extension Requirements, and more.
At this point, most of your “general” orders should be executed. Instead of grinding repetitive orders over and over again, I recommend that you start with the basic activities. Example:
Bounties – how do they work, where to get them, how much do they cost?
A single Basic Bounty in Destiny 2 costs 250 Glimmer. You can buy 5 of them a day, and the player has exactly 1 day and 3 hours to complete them from the time of purchase. Some NPCs, such as Commander Zavala and Banshee-44, also offer Repeatable Daily Bounties for a total of 3000 Flickers. Weekly Bounties cost 1,000 Glimmer and the player has exactly 7 days to complete them. Failure to perform a specific order within the prescribed period results in the loss of the task and the inability to carry it out. The progress of the Bounty task can be monitored in the Quests tab, and even pinned to the Ghost view and checked by pressing the appropriate button (by default the TAB key).
At the time of writing, Destiny 2 Bounties can be purchased from the following NPCs:
- Commander Zavala – sells orders that must be completed in the Vanguard game mode (Strikes, Nightfall: The Ordeal);
- Lord Shaxx – sells orders that must be completed in The Crucible gameplay mode, which is related to PvP gameplay;
- Suraya Hawkthorne – sells orders that generate clan XP and can be associated with both PvE and PvP gameplay modes;
- Vagabond – sells orders that must be completed in the Gambit game mode;
- Prismatic Recaster – A seasonal Drifter machine that was added to the game in the Season of the Outsiders. You can buy Bounties from him and then execute them during normal PvE activities;
- Ada-1 – sells orders related to the Black Armory. Can be found in the Tower;
- Spider – the main NPC on the Tangled Shore planet that sells jobs that can be completed on this planet;
- Brother Vance – the main NPC on the planet Mercury, who sells orders for execution on this planet;
- Asher Mir – the main NPC on planet Io who sells jobs that can be completed on this planet;
- Ana Bray – the main NPC on the planet Mars who sells jobs that can be performed on this planet;
- Sloane – the main NPC on the planet Titan who sells bounties that can be completed on this planet;
- Devrim Kay – the main NPC on the planet EDZ (European Dead Zone), who sells orders that can be performed on this planet;
- Werner-99 – NPC on the planet Nessus (on a barge) who sells jobs for that planet;
- Failsafe – NPC on the planet Nessus that sells jobs that can be completed on this planet;
- Petra Venj – the main NPC in the Dreaming City who sells Bounties that can be completed in this city;
- Eris Morn – the main NPC on the moon who sells jobs that can be completed in this area.
Repeated daily bounties cost as much as 3,000 Glimmer because they can be completed indefinitely, so they are an opportunity to gain a lot of experience points and quickly boost the Season Pass.
Bounties – Rewards & Awards
You can get different rewards depending on what type of Bounty you are doing and what planet you are playing on. In addition to a large amount of experience points, the most common additional rewards for crafting a Bounty can be flicker, tokens, crafting materials assigned to a specific region, and even legendary equipment.
When you complete a Bounty bounty, you’ll be able to claim your reward directly from the quest menu without having to visit the relevant NPC again. Just go to the Quests tab, locate the quests marked with an exclamation point and click on them. The reward will automatically appear in your inventory.

Frequently asked questions:
How long will it take to complete the Destiny 2 Bounty Service?
We strive to have any service requested completed within 24 hours, however this is subject to playlist availability and some products may take longer depending on activity.
If I order account recovery, how do I know if my account is not messing with?
This is a very common and fair question that we are asked a lot.
We are a legitimate website with thousands of completed orders over many years and feedback from many real, satisfied customers like you, but don’t take my word for it. Here are reviews of some of our recent customers: https://sherpasofdestiny.com/reviews/. At the end of the day, we know that by sharing your account with us to do something for you, you have a lot of trust and we take it very seriously, with a 100% guarantee that any damage to your account as a result of your work with us will be repaired completely out of our pocket. If I have my account recovered, how will I know when you log in?
Sherpas will seek contact via text, assuming the regions are suitable, otherwise we will contact you on your email. As such, it is strongly recommended that you include both and make sure they are up to date
Do I need a specific weapon or armor?
Apart from specific situations, we do not require any specific equipment. Our Sherpas are more than happy to work with what you have and can use the Destiny Item Manager and your collections to optimize their inventory.
For any other questions please feel free to contact us or ask one of our live chat staff who will be happy to assist you
I have no data for the actions themselves. I was actually getting ready to tackle this, but Beyond Light has the potential to change everything a LOT in less than a month. So I think it’s better to get the data once Beyond Light is live.
Destiny 2 Bounties Guide: How to Get and Track Them
Destiny 2 Bounties are short challenges and objectives designed to enrich your patrolling and playlist experience. These are great opportunities to combine different challenges to gain additional experience and level up the Season Pass. Some bounties only offer experience points, others provide weapons, armor, and even bright dust.
Sounds great, doesn’t it? But how exactly do Bounty work and how do you track them? We’re here to bring you a full overview in our Destiny 2 Bounties guide.
Destiny 2 Bounties Guide
Bounties are a relatively simple system in Destiny 2. Acquiring them and successfully completing them can be a simple way to level up your Guardian quickly. Here’s everything you need to know about assignments.
Who Can You Acquire Bounties From?
Orders can be collected from most vendors in the game. To earn a Bounty, simply visit the merchant (or find it in the Destiny Companion App) and purchase for 250 Glimmer. Most will have five bounties available, two of which are the weekly version with a greater purpose. You can also buy additional random orders for 1000 Glimmer each.
These are the vendors you can currently buy jobs from:
- Shaxx – Located in the Tower, provides Crucible Bounties
- Zavala – Located in the Tower and provides Vanguard bounties
- Vagabond – located in the Tower and grants Gambit rewards
- Gunsmith – located in the Tower, provides weapon calibration orders
- Hawthorne – Located in the Tower, grants clan rewards
- saint 14 – Located in the Tower, provides rewards for Attempts on weekends
- Ada-1 – Located in the Tower, provides Armor Synthesis bounties
- Eris Morn – Located on the moon, provides planetary rewards
- Variks on Europa – Located in Europe, provides planetary orders, weekly empire hunting and sabotage missions
- Spider – Located on the Tangled Shore, provides Planetary Bounties and Bounties Wanted
- Splicer Servitor – Placed in HELM, provides seasonal rewards
- Devrim Kay – Located in the EDZ, provides planetary quests
- Failsafe – Located in Nessus, provides planetary rewards
- Shaw Han – Located at the Spaceport, provides planetary rewards
Note that Daily Bounties will expire after twenty-four hours, and Weekly Bounties will expire seven days after purchase. Some bounties, such as Armor Synthesis Chases or Variks missions, do not have a specific time limit.
What Type of Bounties Are There?
Bounties can be divided into two types – defeating enemies and completing objectives. Non-planetary dealers typically require you to defeat a certain number of enemies, use a specific weapon, or perform certain events related to their role in the game. For example, Zavala will complete goals while playing the Strike Playlist.
Planetary sellers, on the other hand, will require you to complete objectives on a specific planet from which you obtained them. The only bounties not related to a specific location or game mode come from the gunsmith, Ada-1, and the current seasonal supplier (Splicer Servitor). The best thing you can do is buy their Bounty along with others to potentially accumulate goals and do multiple at once.
How Do You Track Bounties?
Your orders will be located in the Research tab on the right. Here you can see at a glance how many active you have and how far you have to go to complete them. Now, in the past, you could track three targets that appeared after summoning a Spirit at once.
We strive to have any service requested completed within 24 hours, however this is subject to playlist availability and some products may take longer depending on activity.
Destiny 2 weekly bounties are being replaced with Seasonal Challenges next month
Destiny 2’s final season will begin in a few days, and as the current hunting season comes to an end, Bungie is looking to shake up the game and its operations. Regular grinding in Destiny 2 is relatively easy. ” You log in, try to ignore that you made a terrible decision to go starring as a Sorcerer and grab some rewards.
There is no shortage of rewards from vendors, and you’ll be able to choose between daily and weekly shooting lists that will take you throughout the solar system. Complete tasks, collect experience points, earn rewards. This grind fuels the Destiny 2 experience for Season Pass owners, unlocking multiple rewards along the way and maximizing XP earned.
The following season, Bungie detailed how its weekly reward system is being phased out in favor of Seasonal Challenges. New challenges will be unlocked throughout the season, adding more variety to the objectives to be completed and having a much longer expiry date. Seasonal Challenges will last throughout the season, so if you miss a week or two, you won’t have to worry about missing out on your rewards. Here’s a Bungie breakdown of the system:
- Every week, for the first 10 weeks of the season, 3 to 10 new challenges automatically appear for players.
- Some of the challenges are with seasonal content.
- Others force players to complete Strikes, Gambit, and Crucible, or to focus on Destiny rituals that aren’t focused on activities like gaining Power, unlocking Seasonal Artifact mods, or upgrading weapons and armor.
- These challenges can only be completed once per account, but when they become available, they can be completed at any time before the end of the season and do not need to be started or collected from a retailer.
- For example, if a player has not played for weeks 2 to 4, he can come back in week 5 and have all these challenges waiting for him!
- Completing each challenge earns you XP and contributes to promotion in the Season Pass.
- Other rewards can be bright dust, seasonal currency, or other interesting items!
What are the challenges? They have a long range, and it can be anything from defeating Ancient Envoys in Gambit, completing a Grand Master’s night assault, or earning Crucible Valor. The more difficult or longer the challenge, the more experience is rewarded. Daily and Repeatable Bounties will still be available if you prefer the old-fashioned grind, while each Challenge that rewards unique or seasonal items (currencies, books of knowledge, seasonal weapons, etc.) – can be completed as long as seasonal activity is ongoing, but you won’t receive with it XP.
There will also be many other changes next season, albeit with a refinement in mind. Castle Grenade Launchers, Rocket Launchers and Fusion Rifles will receive a buff, while Swords and Sniper Rifles will be weakened in the coming weeks. Finally, don’t expect February to become too romantic, as Crimson Days, the Valentine’s Day version of Destiny 2, arrives in 2021.
According to Bungie, its Crucible 2v2 mode hasn’t been able to put out lately, so the deadly tango event is being pushed into a vault of content until its overall quality is improved.
When you complete a Bounty bounty, you’ll be able to claim your reward directly from the quest menu without having to visit the relevant NPC again. Just go to the Quests tab, locate the quests marked with an exclamation point and click on them. The reward will automatically appear in your inventory.

Daily Bounties
Assuming you have 26 weekly assignments, there are 37 slots available for daily assignments. Repeatable Bounties provide 4,000 XP, and Daily 6,000 XP. My recommendations for these assignments are as follows:
Type | Sum |
---|---|
Crucible | 7 |
Van | 7 |
The service | 7 |
Gunsmith | 7 |
Europe | 7 |
Open slots | 2 |
Seven from each of the basic playlists to give you one reward from getting powerful from the seller. Every 8 can affect progression so this is only done for safety. The rest are to fill the remaining prize slots, assuming some weeklies have been missed or unavailable.
Each chosen activity does not count. It must be a Fireteam activity that you have either created and others have joined you or have joined together.
How to Prepare Bounties for the Witch Queen in Destiny 2
You have to complete a few orders, but not give them away, because you have to accumulate them. A lot of orders from different NPCs will allow you to gain a huge amount of experience, which is used to improve the seasonal artifact (when an expansion is released, it is usually done by experienced players). So we’re revealing the best way to level up at the start of the season, even if it’s a new Destiny 2 expansion instead of the season start, feel free to do so. So collect all the rewards to turn them into heaps of experience to start your expansion in the best possible way.
How to Prepare Bounties for the Witch Queen in Destiny 2 – Stack Bounties
It’s pretty easy to wager the prizes you just have to play is the worst part? Of course, we love to play and be the best at the game we have to play. For this reason, accumulating rewards is something we’re all good at. In the game, we can perform many weekly orders, and we can also collect daily orders. Each character can have a total of 63 bounties at any given time. There is space that you can fill with multiple prizes, so what are you waiting for? Weekly rewards take up more space than daily rewards. Use daily rewards to take up the rest of the space.
In the list below you can check out the list of featured NPCs (they’ll give you tons of rewards), this might be the best pick you’ve ever seen!
The weekly rewards of these NPCs are quite large, they will give you 12,000 experience points.
- Variks: 3 different weekly assignments (Europe location)
- Shaw Han: 2 different weekly assignments (Cosmodrome location)
- Eris Morn: 3 different weekly bounties (Moon location)
- Spell Dashboard: 2 different weekly assignments (Moon location)
- Saint-14: 9 different weekly prizes (Tower location)
- Hawthorne: 8 different weekly bounties (Tower location)
- Lord Saladin: 7 different weekly bounties (Tower location during the Iron Banner)
