Silent Hunter is here as Epic Games brings its latest patch to Fortnite Battle Royale. Greet Valentine skins and a new crossbow.
Fortnite Battle Royale gets hit by Cupid’s Arrow with new crossbow and Valentines content
fortnite Battle Royale patches are still dense and fast, with the latest version 2.4.2 out now. Epic Games, as always, has detailed everything new and fixed in detail, but there is a distinct feeling of love with this patch.
Special Valentine skins are available in the in-game item store, and the previously teased silent hunter weapon also appears in the form of a crossbow.
The Crossbow will be available from Floor Loot and Chests, and will be available in Rare and Epic variants. Fires arrows (duh) which are an unlimited type of ammunition. Nor will they reveal your location as much as firing a large old tactical shotgun.
In addition to the new gadgets, Shooting Test # 1 continues and, following community feedback, has been switched to Solo Only mode, not Team Mode. Weapon balancing has also been addressed here, increasing the damage dealt by the shotgun to the head, reducing the damage of AR with a scope, with this weapon now 100% accurate when equipped with a scope.
Weapon balance issue is likely to be resolved again, which is why there is a shooting test # 1 so if you want to help shape the future of the game, play it and share your experiences. The full changelog is below, and for more information, visit the Epic Games blog. The hotfix requires server downtime, but has no return time estimate.

Fortnite Crossbow: Is the Crossbow Back in Fortnite?
The ranged weapon was ready to return to Fortnite, and ready to send a solid stream of shots towards the enemy .. or so we thought in the update.
Now, however, all traces of the Fortnite crossbow have been removed from Epic’s message history. The story thickens with an Epic tweet stating that some items didn’t go into the game as planned. It might as well be the legendary Crossbow.
We have some content that is not yet in the game. We are working on it and it should appear in a moment. Sorry for the delay!
