Should I wait for a specific card in the package to be found, or should I create it?

We all know this feeling: we want to play a specific card, but are reluctant to create it because we can find it in the package and don’t want to waste any dust. Is this fear justified?

Let’s look at the probability of finding a specific card in a bundle:

As you can see, the probabilities are so low that it doesn’t pay to wait for specific cards to appear. The best way is to find a specific GvG in common, but even there you look at around 10 packs on average until you find it. For a specific legend, you’ll have to wait around 300 packs on average to find the card you’re looking for!

Should I Dust Golden Cards?

After all, it is a matter of personal preference. All we can do is make the question as objectivized as possible.

Let’s put it from a fun perspective: if you want to create a new legend, you can forge four golden epics to be able to create this legendary one. Now consider this argument:

Argument (A): Do you personally like the animations of gold cards you have to disenchant better, or are you more enjoying playing with your new created card?

Our tip: Save your gold cards until you want to create a specific card. Then use argument (A) to decide. Think of your gold cards as a piggy bank that you can plunder if you need to.

Note that we don’t recommend dusting any cards unless you have more than two (except for the Gnomish Experimenter).

Alternatively, old expansions also have special adventure modes that require the player to complete a Solo Adventure and get cards. Only after that will they be able to create and disenchant cards from this adventure.

Do your quests to level up in the Rewards Track

The most important thing to know is that Hearthstone uses a system called the Reward Track. As you play the game, you gain experience – XP – which goes to the track as you level up. With each new level you earn a small reward. Sometimes it’s gold, other times it’s card packs, and at a few specific levels you can get rewards such as certain gold cards or hero portraits.

Earning XP is of great importance in building your collection, as the gold you receive from the Reward Track can be used to purchase card packs without spending any real money. While you can earn XP just by playing a lot of games, it’s not very efficient. Instead, you should focus on completing daily and weekly tasks.

If you just log into Hearthstone every day – or even every other day – and complete quests, a steady flow of XP will give you Gold, which in turn will allow you to buy multiple packs. Most of these daily and weekly quests can even be completed in single player mode by challenging a friend or playing a weekly inn brawl, so you don’t need a top-tier deck to progress.

Remember that you can collect up to three daily tasks and up to three weekly tasks at the same time. Therefore, it can be more efficient to wait until you have a full set of dailies and weeklies before tackling them in order to potentially double-immerse yourself in tasks and get them done faster. But at the same time, you never want to end your day with three days back, because that means you will “waste” the next day and lose valuable XP. Play smart!

The Hearthstone Core Set contains the most basic cards in the game that form the basis of most decks. All players receive the full core set at no cost – as long as they have achieved the level of each of the ten game classes. If you’re a returning player you’ve probably already done so, but if you’re a brand new player you’ll want to make this a priority.

The core set will always be the building blocks of your deck, as core set cards will change every year, bringing you new and interesting cards. If you’ve already unlocked a Core Set, you will automatically receive the latest Core Set cards when you level up your classes. So this is a one-time process to ensure you get cards that will always be up-to-date in the game, no matter how many years are.

So, when you start out, you should focus on leveling up all ten classes by playing them in more casual game modes like single-player modes or a brawl in the tavern.

I have a habit of keeping a pretty full gold reserve in case there is a heroic tavern brawl, so I already have a decent amount of money saved up for my next expansion.

How to Get Cards You Want in Hearthstone?

If players don’t want to rely on opening packs and getting cards randomly, they can use the game’s build system to get exactly the cards they want or need for their deck. The crafting system is quite simple. Each card obtained from the bundle can be disenchanted into Dust. Players can then use this Dust to create cards. Players have full control of what cards are disenchanted and crafted. Crafting is the fastest way to get a copy of that elusive epic you need to complete your deck.

How to Get Cards Without Paying in Hearthstone?

Hearthstone also has an extensive gold-based system that players can use to bypass card purchases and get new cards without spending real money.

The primary way players can get more gold is by simply playing. For every three victories in game mode (ladder), players will earn 10 gold, up to a maximum of 100 gold per day. Arena mode costs a bit of gold (150) to start a run, but the rewards for reaching seven or more wins can be much more than the entry cost.

Moreover, players also have a special quest track and related quests to complete and earn rewards. Rewards may differ from card packs, Dust, Gold cards, and Gold. The base track is available to all players for free. However, you can purchase the Premium Tavern Pass with real currency and unlock additional levels to complete and earn cosmetic rewards. Reward tracks reset with each expansion.

New players also have a few introductory quests that reward them for learning the game. These quests provide a total of 400 gold, 95 dust, and free entry to the Arena upon completion.

One of the most profitable ways to earn cards is to build a deck and play in game mode – usually the standard ranked ladder. This will ensure a steady supply of gold and promotion to rewards at the end of the season. These rewards are cumulative for every five ranks the player reaches. Rewards include Rare and Epic cards that match the standard or the latest expansion packs.

Alternatively, players can take full advantage of the Arena mode. Constantly scoring seven or more wins allows each run to effectively pay for the next one in addition to other prizes, gradually giving the player more resources.

As you level up on the Reward Track and earn gold, spend it on packs from the in-game store. You can purchase a single bundle from any expansion for 100 gold, so if you complete your quests you will be able to get multiple bundles per week.

5. The Boomsday Project

The Boomsday Project was released on August 7, 2018. Initially, the set felt very weak. However, after some cards were buffed, the set’s popularity grew. This expansion centers around the famous Dr. Boom and his team of elite scientists at Boom Labs. He also introduced one of the most interesting keywords in the game – magnetic spells, as well as legendary.

There are many strong cards in this expansion. More than 5 legendary cards are often used in the metagame, while others, such as Mecha’thun, are waiting for the perfect combination to emerge. Almost all magnetic creatures are really strong too. From this expansion come the 2 most used cards in the entire game – Zilliax and SN1P-SN4P, as well as one of the strongest hero cards – Dr. Boom, Mad Genius

In short, the Boomsday Project is an expansion worth spending money on. It is home to some of the best cards in the game, and it is absolutely imperative that you play Treant or Mech decks. However, since the standard rotation is so close, I suggest that you only buy Project Boomsday Card Packs if you’re interested in the Wild format.

4. Rise of Shadows

Out of the Shadows was released on April 9, 2019. It allowed many archetypes to shine and completely shook the finish line. This expansion introduced the Twin Spells keyword, as well as Minions. The plot revolves around the League of Evil.

There are many powerful cards in this set. Over 20 cards are played over 100,000 times a month, with the BAD Gnome being the most played. It has been played over a million times. Rise of the Shadows is also home to many of the Minion Generator cards that have been the staple of many decks throughout the Year of the Dragon. Some of the most commonly used legendary cards in this expansion are Heistbaron Togwaggle, Kalecgos, and Catrina Muerte.

Overall, you should definitely think about investing your resources into this card extension. It has over 10% popularity and there are many strong cards that can significantly strengthen your collection.

While these numbers may seem unusually high, don’t forget that players usually don’t need every card in an expansion. The decks are limited to 30 cards, and players rarely play an average of more than a few dozen decks.

What are my chances of getting rare or better cards?

Over the years, players and fans have speculated and analyzed their results in purchasing card packs. Their research has shown that all types of card packs have the same rates for Gold and Rarity cards. According to data from Marinconz (2014), Kjellgren (2014), HearthSim (2015) and Amaz (2015), their number allowed for a total of 13,340 cards out of the sample size of 27,868 card packs.

According to Blizzard Entertainment, the official drop rates of Rare, Epic, and Legendary cards are:

  • Rare – At least one Rare in each card pack.
  • Epic – On average, one epic in every five packs.
  • Legendary – On average, one legendary pack per 20 packs.

Are there any limitations to using Amazon Coins?

Buying Hearthstone Card Packs via Amazon Coins is the best and cheapest method; unfortunately, this method is not available everywhere. Before you go ahead and place a massive order for Amazon Coins, you may want to consider conversion rates between Amazon Coins and Hearthstone card packs with local taxes on digital products. Pity Timers

The main purpose of collecting cards from packs is to build powerful decks. Accordingly, when selecting card packs, you need to keep certain decks in mind. Overall, in addition to the recommendations above, consider the packages that offer the most potential improvements.

Duplicate protection

Duplicate protection when opening a Hearthstone bundle refers to protection given to a player that prevents him / her from opening a card where the player has purchased more than one copy (for Legendary) or more than two copies (for common, rare, and epic goods). The duplicate protection is due to the fact that in normal game rules, players are prohibited from using more than one copy of a Legendary card, or more than two copies of a regular, rare, or epic card in a typical game deck. With duplicate protection, players can collect cards without worrying about frequently getting useless duplicates and three copies of cards from card packs. Duplicate protection generally didn’t exist in Hearthstone until August 10, 2017.

on June 22, 2017, Blizzard announced that a brand new duplicate protection rule will be implemented for Legendary cards opened from card packs. 9 The announced duplicate protection rule and some additional changes to the package opening rules were officially introduced on August 10, 2017 with the release of the Knights of the Frozen Throne expansion, and were as follows:

  • When you open a Legendary, you are guaranteed to find a Legendary that you do not yet own (not gold or gold), unless you already own all of the Legendars in the set. 10
