Superflat or Flat is a world type that replaces the normal, varied Overworld terrain, with layers that can be customized. In the classic (default) Superflat world, the terrain consists of one layer of bedrock, two layers of earth, and one layer of blocks of grass…
Multiplayer
To create a Super Flat world in a multiplayer server, the level type flag in server.properties must be flat, not the default. To change layers, biomes, and structures define generator settings which are basically in-game settings code but with JSON-like syntax, see the example below.
After creating a multiplayer game world, the server.properties fields have no effect on chunk generation. Instead, similar to a single-player game, the level.dat fields for generatorName, generatorVersion, and generatorOptions are used instead. If you want to change the world after initial creation, these are the settings that need to be changed.
This app allows you to create your own super flat presets. Every aspect can be customized. Only for PC.
Basic Usage
The first time you run the application, the default setting “Classic Flat” will be loaded. You can see the current super flat preset code in the code box at the top. You can change this configuration manually by editing the code field, or you can use the controls below to change it.
By default, the “Layers” tab will be active. Here you can add a new layer by selecting a block, searching for it, or typing in its block ID. Once added, you can change the height of the layer using the input number on the left. If the block may have different meta values, you can click on the layer to expand the options. Finally, the layers can be removed and reordered using drag and drop.
By clicking the “Biom” or “Features” buttons, you can further customize the super flat configuration. You can hover over most of the labels to see additional information.
Once you’ve finalized your super flat setup, you can simply copy the resulting code (Hint: Ctrl + A then Ctrl + C) and paste it into Minecraft (Ctrl + V). Here’s how to find the input:
Single Player -> Create New World -> More World Options. -> World Type: Super Flat -> Customize -> Presets
