Another option, though not the most ideal, is to play via Nvidia’s cloud gaming service, GeForce Now. Thanks to the service, you can play PC games by streaming them to your Android device.

Why were the iOS and Android versions of Fortnite removed?
source: Epic Games
At the moment, Epic Games is in conflict with both Apple and Google, and it is not known when it might all end. In short, Epic Games must forgo an additional 30% of profits from every V-Bucks sold through the App Store or Google Play Store.
Epic Games did not like this, which recently decided to introduce a way that players can pay Epic Games directly for a lower transaction fee or make purchases through the appropriate platforms.
As a result, Apple decided to remove Fortnite from the App Store because Epic Games tried to circumvent the fees. Later, Google did the same and removed Fortnite from the Google Play Store. As of this writing, no application has been restored to the correct platform.
Can I still play Fortnite on mobile devices?
source: Epic Games
Yes, you can play Fortnite as long as you have it installed on your device, but only if your version of the game has been updated to the latest version. This is the 13.40 update that Epic Games lists in its official situation FAQ.
If you’ve already downloaded Fortnite before, you should have no problems playing – that is, until Chapter 2 – Season 4 begins. You will be able to play version 13.40, but you will not be able to try any new content or purchase a new Battle Pass. You can play, but your ability to reach bonus content will be castrated for the time being.
If you don’t have an updated version yet, your mobile game may not work on iOS or Android.

If you choose, you can still download the Fortnite installer for Android via the Epic Games app. You will need to download and install it on your smartphone first, then download and install Fortnite for Android. Since this app is not in the Google Play Store, here’s how to get it:
Get Fortnite directly from Epic Games
The Google Play Store is the primary source for downloading the game for Android, but players can also download it directly from Epic. You can go to fortnite.com/android on your phone or scan the QR code displayed on this page when you visit it on your computer.
If you really want to get your game up and running, the only way is to sideloading Fortnite.

There, tap on the Download button in the Epic Games app and follow the instructions to download and install the Epic Games app, which you will then use to download and install Fortnite. I know it’s confusing. But if you want to continue the 90s and win games this is what you have to do.
The process requires permission from Chrome (or the browser of your choice) to download and install Android apps. After installing Epic Games, you can follow the instructions to install Fortnite. Again, you’ll need to allow another app (Epic Games this time) to install the app on your phone.
Once installed, launch Fortnite, log into your Epic Games account, and start playing.
It is important to go back and disable Chrome’s ability to install applications after installing Epic Games. To do this, go to Settings> Applications> Chrome and find Install unknown applications, then slide the switch to the Off position. This extra step will prevent Chrome from downloading and installing Android apps in the future, which will keep your device more secure.

Have a Samsung phone? Use the Galaxy Store
Samsung phones and tablets come pre-installed with the proprietary app store, allowing you to access apps from outside the Play Store without any weird workarounds. And it just so happens that the Epic Games app has been available on this store since 2018.
Download Fortnite to your Samsung device by opening the Galaxy Store and searching for Fortnite or Epic Games. The Epic Games app should be the best result. Download and install, then follow the in-app instructions to install Fortnite.
Once installed, launch Fortnite, log into your Epic Games account, and start playing.
Note: If you have a Galaxy device that does not currently support the Epic Games launcher, such as the Galaxy A10e, skip to the next section of our guide.
Download Fortnite from My Purchases
Despite the ban, installing Fortnite on an iPhone or iPad is straightforward. Let’s start with the easiest method that you can use if you don’t have a copy of Fortnite on your device right now, but have purchased and / or installed it in the past.
- Open the App Store on your iPhone or iPad.
- Tap the Account icon (usually shows your Apple ID or Memoji profile picture.)
- Tap Purchased> My Purchases to access a list of all your downloaded apps and games.
- Search for Fortnite (you can use the search bar).
- Tap the download icon (cloud with a down arrow) to download Fortnite again.
Install Fortnite using Family Sharing
The problem with this method is that it will only work if you have previously downloaded Fortnite. What if you’ve never installed Fortnite on your iPhone?
One possible solution might be to link your account to someone else’s account using Family Sharing.
If a family member has downloaded the app in the past and your accounts are linked using Family Sharing, you should be able to download the app on your iPhone.
To set up Family Sharing, follow these steps:
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap your name to access Apple ID settings.
- Now tap on “Set up Family Sharing”. ‘(If you already have a service set up, it will just be Family Sharing.)
- Select Purchase Sharing and make sure it’s turned on.
- You’ll also need to add a payment method – remember that if you’re setting up Family Sharing and entering your card details, you’ll be paying for all downloads on all Family Sharing accounts!
- Now go back to the App Store as per the steps above.
- Tap your name icon.
- Tap on Purchased.
- Tap a family member’s account.
- Now search your apps until you find Fortnite.
In a separate article, we describe how to set up Family Sharing.
Step 4: In the Fortnite list, grant Epic permission to access your storage. There is nothing wicked here; needs access to download the game.
Download and install Fortnite for Android – Epic Games app install
If you choose, you can still download the Fortnite installer for Android via the Epic Games app. You will need to download and install it on your smartphone first, then download and install Fortnite for Android. Since this app is not in the Google Play Store, here’s how to get it:
- Use your phone’s web browser and go to the URL Fortnite.com/Android.
- You should see a banner saying you want to download the Epic Games app. Tap on it.
- You’ll see a warning stating that this type of file could harm your device. Tap on “OK” to continue anyway.
- You will see the downloaded EpicGamesApp.apk file. Tap on the link “Open.
- Your phone may inform you that your browser cannot install applications from this source. Next, you’ll need to go to your browser settings and then tap the slider or option to allow your browser to install an app from that source.

- You should now install the Epic Games app on your Android device.

How to download Fortnite on other Android devices
Epic Games has not signed a contract with any other phone manufacturer. If you don’t have a Samsung phone, your app store won’t be able to access Fortnite. However, there is still an easy way to get Fortnite on an Android device:
Step 1: Load this website into your Android device’s browser or use your device to scan the QR code displayed on your computer screen.
Step 2: Click the Download button on the Epic Games Application Key.
Step 3: Click OK to install the EpicGamesApp.apk file.
Step 4: Click Open at the bottom of the page.
Step 5: If you downloaded the file using Chrome, you will be prompted to click on Settings. Then tap Switch next to Allow from this source.
By turning on this switch, you allow Chrome to install (ie Sideload) anonymous applications that are no longer displayed on the Play Store. In this particular case, you are installing the Epic Games app.
Step 6: Select the back arrow in the top left corner to continue.
Step 7: Press Install on the popup to continue. This officially installs the Epic Games app, not Fortnite.
Step 8: Click Open after Epic is completely installed. Another option is to open the Epic Games app from the app drawer or the home screen.
Step 9: In the Epic Games app, go to Fortnite and click the yellow Install button on the store page. The base game file will then be downloaded to your device.
Step 10: You will be prompted that Epic Games does not have permission to install the app. Click on Settings.
Step 11: Tap the Toggle button next to the Allow from this source option, then tap the back arrow to continue.
Step 12: You will be prompted for permission to install the game. Tap Install and tap Done or Open after installation.
Step 13: After opening the base game, choose what Fortnite has access to, then click Continue.
Step 14: If prompted, tap OK to confirm that Fortnite was manufactured for an older version of Android.
Step 15: Create an account or log in to your existing account and accept the terms.
Step 16: Click the yellow Install button to finalize the rest of the game (8 GB) that still requires a download. The download usually takes a while, so you can leave to watch TV or bake a cake – fun things, you know.
Step 17: After the download is complete, you can dive into your game.
Fortnite has been removed from the App Store and Google Play Store for now, so how do you get the fix now? Here’s everything you need to know about this situation.

In fact, you don’t even need a PC as you can use GeForce Now to play games you have on PC from Nvidia’s servers.
Here is a list of streaming services you can use to play Fortnite on PC on your Android:
